Dr. Toby Sykes has joined Essex
Woodlands Health Ventures from Cephalon
Inc., where he was Director of Business Development. Soon after
joining, he assisted the company in its acquisition of
Zeneus Pharma
for $370 million in December 2005. Prior to
Cephalon, Dr. Sykes held positions in Corporate Finance practices
of Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen
where he worked on a number of European transactions in the Healthcare,
Life Sciences and Private Equity sectors.
Dr. Sykes received a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Oxford University
and a PhD in molecular biology from King’s College London.
