Dr. Elias joins Essex Woodlands Health Ventures after 5 ˝ years at
McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. As a senior
engagement manager in McKinsey’s New York office, Dr. Elias advised
primarily pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies in strategic,
operational, and business development areas. She managed numerous
McKinsey and client teams, developing and delivering recommendations to
senior management. Prior to joining McKinsey, Dr. Elias was a general
surgery resident at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and
received a national grant during a research fellowship in plastic and
reconstructive surgery at New York University. Dr. Elias serves on the Board of Directors for
Millennium Pharmacy
Systems.
Dr. Elias graduated summa cum laude and phi beta kappa with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in the dual majors of Biology and Anthropology from Yale
University. She obtained her MD degree from Johns Hopkins School of
Medicine, graduating with AOA honors.
