Cynthia A. Doerr, MD brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare to
the Partnership. From 1995 to 1997, Dr. Doerr practiced medicine in a
number of private settings in Texas and Nevada. From 1997 to 2000, she
worked as a solo, private practice pediatric infectious disease
specialist and hospital epidemiologist, in San Antonio, Texas. During
that time, she was instrumental in independently developing an Infection
Control Department and served as Chief of Epidemiology at Methodist
Children's Hospital, the majority market share pediatric hospital in
central Texas.
Dr. Doerr joined Essex Woodlands in 2000. She has been involved in
numerous Essex Woodlands investments and currently serves on the Board
of Directors of
Accumetrics
and as an observer on the Board of Directors of
Liposonix.
Dr. Doerr holds a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degree from
the University of Nebraska. She completed her pediatric residency at the
University of Nebraska Medical Center, with a subsequent fellowship in
pediatric infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas
Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. |
